Admiral Sir Thomas Briggs GCMG (1780 – 16 December 1852) was a Royal Navy officer who went on to be Commander-in-Chief, Portsmouth.
Briggs served as Captain of HMS Agincourt in the early years of the nineteenth century.[1]
He was made Superintendent of Malta Dockyard in 1832[2][3] and went on to be Commander-in-Chief, Portsmouth in 1851.[4]
He died in office in 1852.[5]
